Impossible to discover guest os

Hi All

I can try to move some vm xp, from vmware server to one server ESX 3.0.1. whit vmware converter.

I connected the source server, I browsed the folder, I selected the .vmx (guest s.o. is xp), but at the next button I received the message "Impossible to discover the guest OS".

After that I copied the vm folder in my pc client and after that I move the vm to ESX.

Do you have any suggestion to elude this double copy but instead move directly into esx.
